The federal battery discount
The Cheaper Home Batteries program cuts around 25% off the installed cost of a home battery (tiered by size since May 2026) and runs until 2030. Victoria no longer offers a separate state battery rebate, but the federal discount stacks with the Solar Victoria panel rebate when you install solar and battery together.
